From our walks around Detroit, this is our blog of animals, insects, trees, plants and other things from nature that we see. Most of the photos are ones that S.or I have taken in our neighborhood or during our travels in the city.
For a half-hour or more, S., Mom and I watched a group of these flying at Belle Isle a few weeks back. They seemed particularly active all over the island that day. S. expounds that she finds to her liking their complimentary coloring, with the shining blue, black, white and orange. She notes that the song of this swallow is a warble that often ends with a "su-seer" sound.
